Law to arrest a woman

An incident took place in Pune - a young girl was attacked by a man posing as a plain clothes officer; he asked her 2 come 2 the police station when she & her male friend didn't have a driver's license 2 show. He sent the boy off 2 get his license and asked the girl to accompany him to the police station. Took her instead to an isolated area where the horrendous crime was committed.

The law (which most of us are not aware of) clearly states that between 6 pm and 6 am, a woman has the right to REFUSE to go to the Police Station, even if an arrest warrant has been issued against her. It is a procedural issue that a woman can be arrested between 6am and 6pm, ONLY if she is arrested by a woman officer & taken to an ALL WOMEN police station. And if she is arrested by a male officer, it has to be proven that a woman officer was on duty at the time of arrest.

Of the latest Buzz, Hollywood Music industry’s legendary Multiple Oscar and Grammy music producer Ric Wake and World Famous New Age Composer Yanni, have asked Bollywood sensation Mallika Sherawat to participate in an upcoming special concert, which will be heralded as a triumphant return to India.

Yanni was, and still is, hailed as the only artist to ever stage a concert performance at India's most famous and fabled landmark, the Taj Mahal.

While having dinner at the famed LA eatery the Ivy with producers of her first American-Indo film HISSS, Mallika met Ric Wake, record producer of Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, Diana Ross, and Yanni, who talked about working together on various projects with the dynamic duo who are currently on a world tour and are slated to perform at LA's Nokia Theatre on June 23rd with their current musical tour de force, "Yanni's Voices."

Hollywood TV reports that Mallika may be attending Yanni's concert in LA and is in talks with Ric Wake and Yanni for their up and coming trip to India. According to close sources Mallika might be doing a snake goddess dance from HISSS.

Hollywood TV spies say that Yanni invited Mallika to his concert Tuesday in LA, to which she replied "Only if you dedicate a song to me." Yanni has never dedicated a song on stage to anyone before. Will he? Will she be there to hear it?

Guru (KK Menon) is a smalltime car thief. Ganpat, who owns a dilapidated garage, is his partner-in-crime. Guru whacks cars and Ganpat (Dilip Prabhawalkar) gives them a make-over in order to sell them for tidy profits.

One night, while returning to his kholi, Guru chances upon a swank Mercedes parked outside a brothel, unattended. He steals the car and takes it to Ganpat. While working on the car they discover a sum of Rs. 1 crore in the boot. They are delirious with joy at the unexpected turn of events and start spinning dreams. Little do they know what lays in store - for the car and the money belongs to a vicious gangster/loan shark called Faujdaar (Anupam Kher)!

Guru's plans ricochet when he tries to sell the stolen Mercedes to Suleman Supari (Rahul Dev), a hitman, who recognizes the car and notifies his friend Faujdaar. Scared for his life, Guru squeals that the moolah is in Ganpat's garage. Faujdaar sends his henchman with Guru to retrieve the cash.

Unknown to them, the paranoid Ganpat has hidden the money in what he thinks is a safe place in his garage, because he's afraid that thieves might rob him off the cash. By the time henchman Lovely and Guru reach the garage, Ganpat is involved in an accident, which results in a temporary loss of memory!

Guru can't find the money anywhere and he has no clue where the amnesic Ganpat has hidden it. A vengeful Faujdaar decides to bump off Guru, who pleads for his life and begs for a chance. The sadistic Faujdaar gives him a grace period of 3 days to cough up the dough.

The versatile actor Mithun Chakraborty is re-launching his son, Mimoh Chakraborty through one of the oldest and the reputed entertainment company, Aftab Pictures (P) Ltd. which is in existence since almost four decades. Yajness with Kim Sharma & Amrita Arora

Fightmaster and martial arts instructor Yajness Shhetty, popularly known as Chitah for his cat like movements while teaching his students, is now ready to take the big plunge as a film director.

Not that he has not dabbled in filmmaking. Yajness has produced the Govinda-Urmila starrer Hum Tumpe Marte Hain a few years ago.

But after ten years of extensive research on the subject close to his heart – Martial arts – ‘Kalaripayittu’ to be precise, Yajness is ready to make the film.

Currently working on the pre production of his film, Chitah says that he has moved his script to a top Bollywood star who he feels has the potential to play the character that he has designed to play the lead role. “I need a very simple looking person to play the lead and how he goes on to be a huge action man is how the story unfolds,” says Yajness.

Chitah says that there are over seven writers worked on the subject. “They are young writers who are assimilating the huge information available on ‘Kalaripayittu’. It is not an easy job because the film spans many decades and moves from one era to other over sixty long years. It is a multi period film and the kind of research that is needed to make a film of that genre is not easy to describe. Whenever we jump from one period to the other, we have to make so many changes to the setting etc,” says Chitah about his film which he has tentatively titled as ‘Kalari’.

“I have done so much research. I have been working for more than 6 years on this subject. For this I have visited Kerala, Munnar,Kochi more than 10 times and already talk with Chaina Tourissum dept. and 3 times visited in Chaina and Shaolin temple etc. It’s my Ambissioue and dream project,” says Yajness Shhetty with cat’s whiskers. Would he mind tying up with the other film? “I don’t mind. Action is my passion. It’s my forte,” he says.

Stories of Bollywood friendships are always in vogue. New relationships amongst three stars are in limelight these are Sanju Baba, Mithun Da, and bhojpuri Superstar Ravi Kishan. Sanjay Dutta and Mithun Chakravarty have worked jointly before and so Ravi Kishan and Mithun Chakraborthy. Sanjay Dutt and Mithun Chakraborthy both are working again in two films, but all the three starts are working together in Soham Shah’s “Luck”.

East Africa singers Beby Madaha and Feisal Ismail shot for their music Video album, ‘ Amor’ and ‘ Hope’ in India with Indian T.V. and film actors Amit Jain and Sajani Srivastava at the Surve farm house in Panvel. The music video was directed by Sameer Srivastva, while Raashid Bhatkar cranked the camera and Raju-Shabana chotreographed the sexy number. Action director James Barla and sexy Beby Madaha was rescued when she along with the action director fell from the top of a horse which she was required to ride as part of the sequence for the music video. Beby Madaha and Feisal Ismail have recorded an album of nine songs each under a contract with Dares Salaam-based Pilipili Entertainment Company. Beby ‘s debut album has nine songs entitled Amor (Love) which is the title track, Say all, Haitoshi, Bounce, Indian Flute, Mpenzi, Wakati Umepita, We ni Wangu, Kwani Vipi and Back it Up. Beby is both a singer and performer. The song Indian Flute is a union of Kiswahili and Gujarati - it`s quite a kicker.

Feisal’s nine-track album is titled Hope and the tracks are: Wanakataa, Don`t Cry, Watoto wa Ghetto, Maisha Unayoishi, Wanachizika, Sina Mwingine, Daima Pamoja and Back it Up.The producer of these albums is called Pancho Latino. They featured artistes like Blue, Chidi Benz and Nura in their albums. After they return from India, there will be an official launch of their albums in May. There is some report rounds in the media that Eesha Koppikhar is set to marry the Timmy Narang in November this year. Now sunil signed two films in a row to announce his entry. One of them is "Kanoon Hamra Mutthi Mein", which is produced by Deepa Narayan Jha and is presented by famous singer Udit Narayan Jha. And, his fans will be delighted to know that Sunil has also danced on one of the songs in this movie, apart from his usual comedy.

"It's a nice movie which is being made by one of my favorite singer Udit Narayan, so there was no question of denying the offer. And, as Ravi Kishan is playing lead role, I grabbed the opportunity immediately," said Sunil Pal.

Sunil has signed one more film with Ravi Kishan as well. Prior to this, he had worked in many Hindi films, and also produced a comedy film (Hindi) "Bhawnao ko Samjho", which is expected to release soon.

Mamik & Vindu Dara Singh

Pratibha Pandey - Sexy Look

Hollywood now seems serious about Bollywood artists. After Smile Pinky, now another girl from Balia, UP is going to be part of a Hollywood film Forest Brigade. She is playing a lead role of forest officer. Film is full of action and China's known fight master will train Pratibha for this film. Film is being produced by Tom Browny, film shooting is scheduled in abroad and in India. Pratibha has already worked in few Bhojpuri films like Hamra Se Bihah Karba, Sajna Sajay Da Mang, Jai Ho Dule Raja. She will be the only girl from Bhojpuri cinema who gets direct ticket to Hollywood. Recently she is taking basic training in Pune for the project.

Sudip trying to be in action for a long

The end to the fight over revenue share between multiplexes and producer is no where in the offing. Because of this all big films are not releasing. No body seems to be happy with this situation. Super hit Star Sudip Pandey of hit films ‘Bhojpuriya Bhaiya’,’ Bhojpuriya Daroga’ and ‘Masiha Babu’ says, “When we are fighting for 50% revenue share, why are we not fighting for the big chunk of share taken by the Government in the name of entertainment tax. What Government is doing for the Industry to deserve Rs. 50/- on each Rs. 100/- ticket? A producer by making a film takes heavy financial risk and on his way to complete the film, he pays numerous taxes…i.e. agreement tax, service tax, etc. If he makes profit from the film, he again pays the income tax… them why this entertainment tax?”

Sudip Pandey is not against the system but he opines that everyone has to let off a little bit his share. Not only Multiplex owners and producers. Even artists should demand less remuneration. Till now this seems to be an elite fight. All producers, irrespective of stature, must come together and involve the Government too; only then a long lasting solution can be found.

Ravi Kisan now with Confress

Bhojpuri Superstar Ravi Kishan is going to campaign in favour of Congress party in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh & Mumbai. The campaign started from a mega function at Bhadohi (Uttar Pradesh) on April 8th, attended functions in favour of congress candidates at Varanasi on April 9th, and then campaigned in Mirzapur on 10th, and Jaunpur (his hometown) on 11th. After that, he had three more days of busy campaign schedule in various locations of Uttar Pradesh & Mumbai. On 16th, he begun his campaign in Bihar, which was followed by a mega rally at Ranchi (Jharkhand) on April 20th, with Central Minister and senior Congress leader Subodhkant Sahay.

Last month, there were reports that he has been offered ticket from Jaunpur (Uttar Pradesh) from various parties, but he rejected them, and preferred to campaign for Congress, while another Bhojpuri actor Manoj Tiwari is contesting the election from Gorakhpur on Samajwadi Party ticket. Ravi has changed his shooting schedule to devote time of these campaigns.

Sudip - Cheers for Lead India

This is an election time. Every party is out to show that they are t he real patriot. All regional parties have only one the English like agenda ‘Divide and Rule’. Bhojpuri’s super hit star Sudip Pandey who has given hits like ‘Bhojpuriya Bhaiya’, ‘Bhojpuriya Daroga’ and ‘Mashiha Babu’ is very much concerned with political happenings in the pre election time. He has very unconventional advice for major parties Congress and BJP. Sudip Pandey Says he, “Congress and BJP must form an alliance. It will not only give a stable governance but it’ll be deterrent for small parties who seem to black mail or use the government for their support.”

He goes on…. “Recession has taken its toll on everyone. People are losing jobs. Salaries are coming down. But what with these politician? They seem immune to this. On the contrary every party misusing its resources by having more ministers and provides more and more facilities. I am of the opinion that their all perks and salary increment must be withdrawn. It will ease pressure on government’s exchequer.”

Sudip Pandey’s idea may look very unconventional….like two shores of a river coming together… but it has a point. It these major parties rise above party politics, then only India’s future will be more secure and better.

Nirahua with Pakhi

The marvellous bunglow of late Bachcha Babu is unparalled at Azamgarh. A marriage pandal in the huge courtyard and Mandap in the aangan. Everything was ready for the marriage ceremony. Father of the bride was moving restless while the guests were being bored waiting for the Baraat. It was almost morning and nealy all people were sleepy. Some were dozing off sitting on chairs while some were standing by pillars. Bhupati Singh, father of the bride and a powerlord of the village, had lost his patience by now. While coming out of the house he sees his henchman Mangaru who was dozing off while standing by a pillar. Bhupati bursts out in anger and kicks him blaming him for all this fiasco. It was Mangaru who had advised Bhupati to marry off his daughter to the son of the local Patwari Ramprasad. A journalist who has came to cover the marriage asks Bhupati, What should be the headline tomorrow ? And answers himself, Bride waits while groom absconds. It makes Bhupati furious and he draws out his revolver and threatens everyone to sit down and wait.

In the meantime a Baraat arrives and everyone rushes hearing the band. The groom steps down from the jeep and embraces Bhupati before drawing out his revolver and announces his arrival to avenge his insult. A free fight ensues and suddenly someone roars, CUT !

Everything comes back to normal. The injured looking persons start being normal. The rolling camera stops. It was a shooting in progress for the film Prem Ke Rog Bhayel. Director Farooq Siddique and fight master R.P.Yadav start discussing the next scene. Awadhesh Mishra, the badman of Bhojpuri Cinema, is playing the role of Bhupati and is developing as an Onkara of Bhojpuri cinema with his dialogues laced with obscenities. Santosh Srivastava is Mangaru, Gopal Ray is Ramprasad, Heera is playing Heera, while the imposter groom is Aiyaz Khan. Even Ashok Bhatia has played a small role of the journalist in the film.

Director Farog Siddhiqi Ahmed, Manoj Tiger, Praveshlal Yadav, Pakhi Hegde, Dineshlal Yadav 'Nirahua'

Farooq Siddique, director of the film, has directed many Hindi films including Jigar, Vijaypath, The Don, Vishwavidhata, Kahani Kismat ki, Revati etc and is directing a Bhojpuria film for the first time. He had refused many past offers to do a Bhojpuri film by other producers till he got a sincere producer as Dinesh Lal Nirahua. The story of the film Prem Ke Rog Bhayel is based in a Bihar village. Bihari culture believes in verbal commitments and fulfills their promises come what may. It is also a love story with a message that the enevitable happens everytime and one cannot run from ones fate.

Telling about the scene, Farooq says, it is the marriage ceremony of Puja (Pakhi Hegde) where the groom becomes traceless due to some reason and taking benefit of the situation the brother(Aiyaz Khan) of local MLA arrives imposting as the groom. Puja is in love with Ravi(Denesh Lal Yadav Nirahua), son of the local Patwari Ramprasad(Gopal Ray). This masala film has all the ingredients viewers love and hopes that the film will prove to be the most successful film of the year.

Pravesh Lal Yadav is producing this film His first film Chalani Ke Chalal Dulha is going to be released in May this year and this second film too is almost complete. Pravesh is debuting in Chalani Ke Chalal Dulha. Famous comedian of Bhojpuri Cinema Manioj Tiger is the executive producer of the film Prem Ke Rog Bhayel and is acting too in the film. Viewers shall love his antics in this film too.

Dinesh Lal Nirahua said that he was influenced by the story narrated by Farooq Siddique and agreed to do the film. This is a wholesome film and shall provide healthy family entertainment. Nirahua is playing the role of an obstinate student who gets his desires fulfilled at any cast. At the same time he loves his mother and cant tolerate tears in her eyes. He says all the story cannot be revealed now but the viewers shall get a pleasant surprise with this film.

Pakhi Hegde, the lead actress of the film, has proved to be the most popular pair of Bhojpuri Cinema with Nirahua as her partner. This pair has given regular hit films - Nirahua Rickshawala, Kaise Kahi Tohre Se Pyar Ho Gayel, Nirahua Chalal Sasural, Khiladi No.1, Pratigya, and Vidhata. Three films, Narsamhar, Deewana, and Nirahua Tangewala, are on the sets. She is also appearing as a guest artist in Chalani Ke Chalal Dulha.
