Anand Kumar witnessed extreme poverty in his childhood. During his graduation, he contributed several problems and write-ups on mathematics to national and international Journals, magazines and newspapers. In 1994, he got an opportunity for higher education in the Cambridge University, but his poor financial background came in the way. He felt the pangs of poverty so much that he decided to do something for poor students. This led to the birth of "Ramanujan School of Mathematics". At this school, he trained some students for various competitive examinations without charging any fee. After some time, a senior police officer Abhayanand joined hands with Anand Kumar. Now an Additional Director General of Police (ADG) in Bihar, he is famous for his honesty, intelligence and hardworking mindset. Being a son of the soil, Abhayanand wanted to give back something to the society. His passion for helping the needy made sure that Anand Kumar had got the right man to begin Super 30 with. What followed next was rigorous training, and the results came as a big surprise. In the last five years, 122 students have secured their seats through Super 30. In 2003, 18 students made it to the different IITs. In 2004, it reached 22, in 2005 to 26, and in 2006,it maintained the rising trend by sending 28 students to the IIT. In 2007, 28 students made it again. 

Aamir Khan also spent a few friendly moments with the real heroes of the night. The awards also witnessed Nita Ambani, Shabana Azmi, Kiran Rao and Javed Akhtar applauding the 24 real heroes. He should remember he is still remembered as Shahrukh Khan and not by the character he played. I don’t think he has right to make fun of anybody.
